Second today in the Dakar, Adrien Van Beveren was one of the leading figures as he finished just 23 seconds behind his teammate and winner, Ricky Brabec.
In total, Van Beveren took 5h01m14s to complete the 605km special, where he admits to having experienced some difficulties, mainly due to navigation problems:
– It was a good day. I opened all day and really did my best to try to be fast. It was not easy. The navigation was really tricky at the beginning. We had a lot of dunes at the end. I had to open the gaps and try to be consistent.
After six stages Beveren is third in the overall standings, and is 19m11s behind the leader, Daniel Sanders.
