The third edition of the Yamaha R7 European Cup SuperFinale is about to provide an exciting experience for 28 of the best riders from national R7 Cups and Challenges around the world. The stage for this competition will be the final round of the 2024 Endurance World Championship (EWC), the legendary Bol d’Or, which will take place from 12 to 15 September at the iconic Circuit Paul Ricard, with the prize being the latest version of Yamaha’s R-segment, the R7.
A Growing International Event
Since its debut, the Yamaha R7 SuperFinale has been growing each season, attracting riders from diverse countries. This year, the event will feature participants from 11 different nationalities, including Brazil, Greece, Germany, Belgium, Andorra, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and the Czech Republic.
The Grand Prize: Yamaha R7
The winner of this competition will take home the most coveted prize: a brand new Yamaha R7. This bike, the latest addition to Yamaha’s R-series, is a true gem of Japanese engineering, combining agile handling and sports performance with everyday practicality.
Impressive Features of the Yamaha R7
The R7 stands out for its 689 cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, in-line two-cylinder engine. It offers a maximum power of 54 kW (73.4 hp) at 8750 rpm, with a limited power version available, producing 35 kW (47.6 hp) at 7750 rpm. Its diamond frame, combined with quality suspension – telescopic fork at the front and swingarm at the rear, both with 130 mm of travel – provides precise and comfortable riding. Braking is ensured by a hydraulic system with two 298 mm discs at the front and a 245 mm disc at the rear. Weighing only 188 kg with fluids, the R7 promises to be agile and easy to handle. Its compact design, with a length of 2070 mm and a wheelbase of 1395 mm, contributes to its sporty nature.
More Than Just a Race
The Yamaha R7 SuperFinale is not just a competition; it’s a unique opportunity for riders to experience the electrifying atmosphere of one of the most popular events on the EWC calendar. The Bol d’Or, which last year attracted 83,000 spectators, offers an unparalleled platform for these emerging talents to shine in front of a passionate crowd and international media.
Additional Prizes
In addition to the main bike, the riders who finish in second and third place will not go home empty-handed. They will receive vouchers for GYTR performance parts, redeemable at local Yamaha GYTR PRO SHOPs, allowing them to further enhance their own bikes.
The Yamaha R7 European Cup SuperFinale promises to be an exciting event, not only for the fierce competition but also for the opportunity to win one of the most desired bikes of the moment. With its perfect combination of performance and practicality, the R7 represents the ideal prize to crown the champion of this prestigious event.
