One of the main concerns in preparing for the 2025 MotoGP season was making the best decision in terms of the engine – as for manufacturers without concessions, homologation lasts until the end of 2026.
Ducati decided to stick with last year’s engine version, discarding the 2025 version that didn’t provide all the guarantees – feeling that the braking performance was not as effective.
But at Aprilia, there were no major doubts about the new engine. That’s what Marco Bezzecchi reported, praising the work of the manufacturer:
– The guys in Noale made an wonderful job with the engine. The 2025 engine is good in all the aspects overall, so, yeah. This is something that was quite clear early.
