Marc Márquez arrived at Gresini and a molto Ducati in MotoGP this year, after a decade with Repsol Honda. The adaptation seems to have been quick and relatively easy, and he is already a regular in the fight for the podium.
In an interview with the championship’s website, the Spaniard was asked if, after seven rounds, he already feels the Desmosedici GP23 is his bike. In his answer, he began by saying that yes, he has for some time:
– Of course I feel super good with the bike. I already said in Jerez I think, that I already feel that I’m one part of the bike, we are one. Of course in some race tracks I struggle more – for example in Le Mans and Catalonia I struggled a lot on Friday. But in Mugello we understood and on Friday I was already competitive from the beginning.
According to Márquez, the challenge now lies in the small details that remain to be mastered: ‘There are still small things to understand, but I already understand the way to ride the bike and how to make the race pace. Now it’s everything about the small details’.
