After missing yesterday’s qualifying session, Fermín Aldeguer will be able to participate in the Moto2 Italian GP race, although he will face a challenging start from the 18th position.
The Spanish rider from MB Conveyors SpeedUp had a promising second place in Saturday morning’s practice but was absent from the qualifying session due to neck pain, which required a hospital examination.
While the exact details of Aldeguer’s health condition remain undisclosed, he has been ‘declared fit’ for Sunday’s race. This allows him to attempt to minimize point losses to his rivals.
Aldeguer, considered one of the main title contenders, is currently fourth in the championship standings, trailing leader Sergio García (MT Helmets-MSi/Boscoscuro) by 46 points after six rounds.
