One of the riders with an uncertain future in MotoGP is Jorge Martín. The current championship leader is at the end of his contract with Prima Pramac and desires a spot in a factory team, although it’s uncertain if he will secure the coveted seat at Ducati.
In a press conference, the Spanish rider revealed that a decision about his future for 2025 is imminent: ‘I think the results of Le Mans, or Jerez, or what happens here won’t change what is going to happen. I understand Ducati’s timings, they need to understand what they need, how to put everything together, so, let’s wait. For sure in the next two weeks I will decide my future, because I will know Ducati’s decision also about my choices’.
Regarding the interest from other manufacturers, Martín commented: ‘For sure also I’m pleased and happy that a lot of factories knock my door – this for sure means that we are doing a good job. So now it’s time to wait’.
The 2023 runner-up added: ‘I cannot control what’s going to happen in the next weeks, so I will try to do my best here in Barcelona and in Mugello. And then let’s see what the future brings us’.
