Marco Bezzecchi finished the Catalunya GP in 12th place. After crashing in the first corner after the first start, the Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider was forced to use the second bike for the second start after the red flag which forced Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini to abandon.
Bezzecchi explained what happened at the time of the accident involving five riders at turn 1, which left him with some injuries: “I didn’t see anything, I was just hit by four bikes, it was identical to the accident in Austria, I don’t know if I have any injuries, but I’ll check tomorrow.
Asked why there had been so many incidents this weekend, the Italian rider replied with complete certainty that it wasn’t the track’s fault, but the riders’: ‘The track has been like this for many years, so it’s not the track’s fault, but the riders’ decision-making’
