It’s been ten years since Amazon decided to open a Cars and Motorcycles category dedicated to car enthusiasts on its websites in Italy, France, Spain, Germany and the UK. However, it still hadn’t made a “physical” appearance at our sector’s main international trade fair, EICMA. It will be at the next edition, which will be held from November 7 to 12 at Fiera Milano Rho.
For the first time, the e-commerce giant will be appearing directly in our sector, with a stand in Hall 9/11 (M59). Here we’ll find exhibition areas, but above all a selection of products, accessories and components from major brands dedicated to the world of two wheels, such as Dainese, Bosch Automotive, CTEK, GP-PRO, MXT (Maxtuned), Cardo, Artago, Shima, DC Afam and many others.
And it doesn’t stop there: there will be a store dedicated to the event at amazon.it/eicma. The storefront will include all the products that will be presented on the stand, as well as many others, and will also be available on Amazon.es, Amazon.fr, Amazon.de and Amazon.co.uk.
In addition to the online shop window dedicated to the fair, Amazon.co.uk’s Cars and Motorcycles category offers thousands of specific products and services. These include, for example, My Garage, where customers can find spare parts and accessories suitable for their vehicle, and Amazon Installation Service, which allows customers to select and add the installation service they want directly from the product page and then use it in-store on the date and time of their choice. But that’s not all: customers can also access specific sections full of products and equipment for the seasonal preparation and maintenance of their vehicles.
Amazon’s entry into a trade fair seems to us to underline the importance that these real encounters continue to have, despite the frequent talk of making everything virtual. Of course, customers are customers and these days there is no longer any distinction between online and offline.
