Miguel Oliveira finished 19th in Friday’s practice for the Malaysian MotoGP Grand Prix. The CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team rider was unable to improve in the final stages of the session and, as a result, is relegated to the first qualifying.
The Portuguese rider pointed out the only disappointing aspect of the day: ‘It wasn’t a bad day. I felt good on the bike, especially in the afternoon. I just had a couple of different feelings with the new rear tyres, unfortunately, so I couldn’t repeat and improve my lap time that I’ve done in the second outing. I’m just disappointed for that’.
Regarding the new air duct on the bike, Oliveira said: ‘You get more air, especially around the neck area, which is where we struggle. You get more hot air, so… it’s better than no air I guess. We struggle. The bike is hot anyway. I don’t know for what reason, it is particularly hot around the front area’.
