One of the riders who will attract more attention in the 2024 Superbike World Championship will be Andrea Iannone, he who was out of the tracks in the worlds for four years after a positive anti-doping test. He is now making his return and hopes to be able to score some points.
The italian will ride for Team GoEleven and doesn’t hide his wish to score some points right away in the championship. Is however calm and wants to take things slowly, as he told MCN: ‘You have to keep your feet on the ground, keep calm. There’s still a long way to go before it’s as fast as before. It’s difficult to surprise me, but this time it happened. I still don’t have the Ducati in my hand. Jerez was just a first taste of what’s to come’.
And continued, praising the championship that will welcome him after such big break, but still saying he wants to score: ‘I don’t like to force things. This is what I want. When I was in front of the TV at home, watching Superbike, I liked what I saw. Right now Superbike and Ducati are what I want. I would love to score some points’.
The Superbike champiosnhip will start at 23-25 of february of 2024 at Australia.
