In a recent interview, Jorge Martín downplayed Enea Bastianini’s victory in the MotoGP Malaysian Grand Prix and its significance in the overall context of the season – after not taking the Italian’s place in the Ducati factory team.
When confronted by GPOne.com with his rival’s statements, Bastianini refused to fuel a discussion, stating: ‘I believe the best way to answer is on the track, so I’ll wait until the new year’.
Bastianini suffered severe injuries on more than one occasion during the season, leading to extended periods away from the tracks – affecting his adaptatiojn to the Ducati factory team. Nonetheless, he concluded the year showcasing his potential to compete at the front earning a second chance in 2024.
