Yamaha is determined to enhance its performance in MotoGP after recent setbacks and has reportedly recruited a key engineer from Ducati: Massimo Bartolini.
According to SPEEDWEEK.com, citing the Italian press, Bartolini was close to General Manager Gigi Dall’Igna. At Ducati, he served as a vehicle performance engineer.
If confirmed, this marks another acquisition by Yamaha from Ducati, following the arrival of their current aerodynamics director, Marco Nicotra, who joined from Borgo Panigale last October.
The Italian manufacturer has also lost three significant members to KTM in recent seasons: Fabiano Sterlacchini and the crew chiefs Alberto Giribuola and Christian Pupulin.
