Pedro Acosta made his debut in MotoGP at the Valencia tests, in november. Now there are new images of the rider’s first experience aboard the KTM RC16, as his reactions on the garage of the GASGAS Tech3.
In a video shared by MotoGP.com, you can see the rookie for 2024 to reacted on his debut, saying: ‘Wow! It was difficult to see the dashboard! I cannot say anything bad about the bike. I activated the ride-height device and it went like this [makes a gesture with his hand, point upwards]! And I said to myself: «I don’t think this is the right one» [laughs with the team]’.
Acosta then gave his view on the position on the bike and… how he is confused with all new things to him: ‘The position on the bike is okay everything, everything is ok. It’s more about understanding when to touch the buttons, where are the f**** buttons! Sometimes I’m going straight and I have to look two or three times at the handlebar’.
Then, speaking about the performance, here are his first words and what surprised him the most: ‘To be honest, the fact that you don’t rest on the straight… I mean, you are like this [showing hands gestures]. Until you get into fifth you are still playing with the bike. I expected the bike to go much faster, but…it’s f*** fast!. Everybody talks about the power, the power… but in the end, you feel the acceleration and not the top speed’.
