This Thursday, the riders began one of the most challenging phases of the Dakar: a 48-hour marathon stage, without assistance from technical teams.
In the first part of this, which is the sixth stage, the riders will have, at most, until 4:00 PM (local time) to cover as much as possible on the 600km timed section. After that, they will have to reach one of the seven break zones scattered along the route.
Once at the meeting point, the riders will have basic equipment for camping. They will not receive any information about their opponents, essentially being isolated from the rest of the world until the end of the second part of the stage tomorrow. The restart time is at 7:00 AM local time, and only at the end will there be results.
