After Fabio Quartararo’s title in 2021, Yamaha has experienced a clear drop in competitiveness in MotoGP. Last year, they didn’t win any races and are now trying to react, having already strengthened their technical structure.
In statements to La Gazzetta dello Sport quoted by Sportal.it, former rider Franco Uncini argued that Yamaha has to show an improvement to keep Quartararo and highlighted the hires made:
– Yamaha has hired many engineers from Ducati; let’s see how long it takes for them to be at the forefront again. They certainly have a very strong rider in Quartararo, and they will have to quickly show him that they can progress not to lose him at the end of the season.
