Introducing the new Vitpilen and Svartpilen for the 401 and 125 engine sizes; redesigned in many essential elements, they present themselves with a renewed technical appearance. While remaining faithful to the distinctive, minimalist and avant-garde design that has characterized them to date, they offer major changes in all the most essential elements, including the wheelbase, which is now significantly longer.
To achieve this, Husqvarna has developed a new steel trellis frame for all models and opted for a new aluminum alloy swingarm with longer dimensions than the previous one. Also new are the steering plates with a new off-set. The intention is to ensure even more efficient and enjoyable driving dynamics. The frame has also been redesigned, the suspension is strictly WP, the fork is of the 43mm APEX type, while the monoshock with its special offset arrangement is still WP, but with an optimized calibration to suit the renewed frame.
Always small and compact, the two bikes in the different displacements and configurations offer a seat height of just 820 mm, always allowing perfect support of the feet on the ground, but in this 2024 model they have new ergonomics capable of guaranteeing a better riding sensation for the rider. There’s no shortage of premium finishes, a 5-inch TFT color instrument panel, cornering ABS, electronic gearbox and a striking paint job.
The engines have also been redesigned, now more compact, descendants of the new LC4c family. Made with a displacement of 399 cc for the Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401, they deliver 45 hp and 39 Nm of maximum torque. The 125cc versions, in accordance with current regulations, come in at 11kW, 15hp and a maximum torque of 11.5Nm. All the cylinder and piston materials are new, as well as a completely redesigned four-valve head compared to previous units.
