Fabio Quartararo believes that MotoGP has room for improvement. The Monster Energy Yamaha rider, after the 2023 season, remains critical of the Sprint race format.
The Frenchman told SPEEDWEEK.com: ‘There are many things that should still change. I’m not a big fan of the Sprint races, and you could see that we didn’t have a race with all the regular riders. That’s the new format, and for me, it’s a problem. You don’t have time to prepare for the race; you have to be constantly on the limit, and that leads to injuries. You can just see how many injuries there were last year’.
On the other hand, Quartararo pointed out the excessive presence of Ducati bikes: ‘I also believe it’s difficult with eight Ducatis in the field. But I think we are improving. Hopefully, the level of each manufacturer can be more competitive’.
