Honda has taken Marc Márquez hostage, at least for 2024, and other riders have succeeded the Spaniard as the most “experienced” with the RC213V, such as Takaaki Nakagami, with Giacomo Guidotti saying that the #93 has even looked closely at the Japanese rider’s “pros”. He also spoke about Joan Mir, who will be in his second season with the manufacturer this season.
Speaking to Moto.it, Giacomo Guidotti spoke about Nakagami and how he was… studied by Márquez. ‘He’s a very fast rider, Marc Márquez has also studied some of his qualities’ he said, then lamented the many injguries the former world champion has been going through: ‘Unfortunately, he’s also struggling with injuries’.
Another former champion of the Japanese giant is Mir, who will be joining the team in 2023, but he won’t have an easy time of it, as Guidotti explained, even compared to what was expected: ‘The expectations of each of us were very different. We haven’t been able to exploit our potential, even if the driver has the speed and desire’.
