Aprilia has promised to supply Raul Fernández with the most up-to-date version of the RS-GP, but for the time being they haven’t given a date, something that doesn’t seem to matter to the rider.
Asked if there is any timeframe for having the bike, the Spaniard made it clear that he doesn’t have any information on that for now, but he was happy to have the 2023 version: ‘Honestly, I don’t know 100 per cent when the new bike will get tome, but what I do know is that with the bike I tested in Valencia at the end of the season, I felt very comfortable, I liked it a lot. Something I especially liked was the front of the bike, it was interesting, and at the start of the season being on this bike will be good for me, not having to think about testing new parts of the bike’.
Even so, he guaranteed that he will do his best with the bike that is available to him, and even admitted that thinking about the 2024 bike is something that ‘doesn’t matter’:
– I will try to do my best and I feel that I will arrive at the first race of the year with a lot of experience and that is important to me. Honestly I’m not thinking about when I’ll have (the new) bike, it’s something that doesn’t matter. I want to do my best and enjoy myself as I did at the end of last season, do my maximum.
