Franco Morbidelli caused concern on the second day of testing in Portimão. Several MotoGP riders joined the World Superbike Championship to train with road bikes ahead of the pre-season tests in Sepang next week.
According to GPOne.com, the incident involving the Italian from Prima Pramac occurred around 15:30 (CET time) at turn nine. Morbidelli lost control of the Ducati Panigale V4 S after the hill.
The Márquez brothers, Álex and Marc, witnessed their rival, who was taken to the medical center for examination. Fortunately, Morbidelli is reported to have suffered no injuries that raise concern, despite the initial scare.
