Honda is working to try to return to success in MotoGP, and one of its riders is Joan Mir. For the second consecutive year, he is part of the official team of the Japanese manufacturer, hoping to achieve better results than in 2023.
The 2020 world champion spoke about what is needed at this moment to optimize performance, considering that the limit is still far from being reached:
– To improve now with the package that we have it’s more myself, trying to understand with the team what is a good base for me. Then make a couple of time attacks with this base, understand, finding these last tenths, and then we will reach a limit. I’m sure we are still far, but that’s where Honda needs to focus. I think I cannot give you what is the specific lap time from me and from Honda, but 50/50.
