With MotoGP speed increasing more and more each year that were already talks about reducing that in the future and Marc Márquez, one of the fastest overall in the past decade in the grid as address the subject, coming up with a «solution» to do so.
Yesterday at Lusail, the Gresini Racing rider spoke on matter and said how lowering the top speed could be done: ‘For me, the first thing to do is to reduce aerodynamics. This will make the bikes slower. What we have to do is work on that. If the bikes are slower, the show will be better. Why? Because people on TV don’t realize if you go 360 km/h, or 340 km/h; it’s still 300 km/h’.
However and to do so, there are a number of changes to the rules that have to be made, with the spaniard to look at the highest competition on four wheels: ‘But they have to work on the regulations because it’s getting slower and slower. We have seen it this year, in all the manufacturers; the bike looks more and more like a Formula. So yes, we have to think about it’.
Out of curiosity, the four wheel competition is attracting more and more of former MotoGP riders like Valentino Rossi, Dani Pedrosa or Jorge Lorenzo.
