Marco Bezzecchi was involved in an unusual incident at the entrance to the pit lane during the last day of MotoGP pre-season testing at Losail. Although he did not suffer any injuries, he even fell off his bike, ending up out of the pit lane while his Ducati entered.
The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider was asked about the moment by the press. In response, Bezzecchi explained how it all happened:
– I was riding with the test specification of the front tyre, which is a little bit harder compared to our medium front we had here. And I was a little bit on the limit with the timing to try it. So I made the run and it was fantastic on track to be honest – it was very nice. But in the out lap I was very slow and once I arrived in the pit entry and I braked to the speed limiter I lost the front at the entry of the pitlane. So my bike went inside of the pitlane, but not me. And I almost hit the cars and everything making a disaster. I’m the only one who can make this kind of things. […]. Everyone said to me: «Ah, to make the stoppie». No, fortunately no. But I’d prefer to crash to make the stoppie, at least I tried to make and I crashed. I didn’t expect and I found myself on the ground, but it was okay’.
