With the championship just around the corner, Álex Márquez still has a few issues to resolve on his Ducati Desmosedici in order to be in top shape for the start of the MotoGP world championship.
The Gresini Racing rider began by talking about one of the problems that has been bothering him the most: ‘Above all, the race pace. It’s true that we’re not in a good position because on Monday I had an accident and a front tyre went flat. It was like that with the tyres, especially at the front. It was a bit of a strange day for us, a lot of time on the used tyre and we put the soft one on for the time attack too early because we didn’t have enough tyres. The first one we used was for the long race, the time attack was too early’.
And like Jorge Martín, Álex is also suffering from the bike’s rear vibration: ‘The main objective on Tuesday was to do the long race, we had problems, which is good because we have time to try and solve them. More or less like last year, with the vibration at the rear, we have these two weeks to analyze the problem. The feeling was good’.
A. Márquez was 13th on the second day of testing.
