The MotoGP preseason served as Marc Márquez’s first steps with the Ducati Desmosedici GP23 – an adaptation he has to make after a decade with Repsol Honda. Despite being in a satellite team and riding a last year’s bike, he is seen as a potential title contender.
In a conversation with Nico Abad, Jaime Alguersuari spoke about the six-time world champion: ‘In these five days, Márquez has been looking for the reason why a bike that is twice as competitive as the Honda doesn’t scare him. And look at four of the five days within three tenths of his brother’.
Alguersuari then argued: ‘If Marc Márquez wins this championship, what needs to change is the regulations and the way things are done. Jorge Martín knows he needs Márquez to feel like a champion, and Pecco [Bagnaia] knows he needs Márquez to feel like a champion’.
