The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is undergoing various renovation works ahead of the 2024 season – during which it will host, among other events, the MotoGP Catalunya GP and the second round of the World Superbike Championship.
The regional government has announced an investment of 50 million euros for the period 2022-2026, aiming to make the circuit a leading reference. The pit garages and the control tower will undergo intervention, as well as the grandstand roofs.
Currently, the works are focusing on the control tower and the pit building. There will be a VIP walkway connecting the paddock to the interior grandstands. The pit building above the boxes also includes a new cover with solar panels.
WSBK will take place on the weekend of March 22-24, while the MotoGP Catalunya GP is scheduled for May 24-26.
