Francesco Bagnaia had a subdued performance in the free practice sessions of the Qatar GP held at Losail yesterday. Indeed, the Ducati rider encountered some issues during the sessions, but he isn’t particularly concerned.
The Italian stated to the press: ‘For sure it wasn’t the start of the season I was expecting in terms of what happened. My feeling with the bike was the same as the test, but something else wasn’t working well. So we just decided to remain with the same tyres of the session because we already know, thanks to the test, where is our potential, where we can go. It wasn’t a big issue in that kind of situation, but we’ve lost a bit of time for sure’.
Despite the setbacks he experienced, Bagnaia assured that they are easily fixable: ‘Is easily fixed, already on Friday’s afternoon could be fixed, but we just had rain in the desert and it was something I wasn’t expecting’.
