Francesco Bagnaia became MotoGP World Champion for the second time last year, but it was far from a season without obstacles to overcome. At one point, he struggled with the Desmosedici GP23, but quickly felt better with this year’s GP24.
The Italian said in a press conference: ‘I have to say that at the start of the season with the 2023 I was quite happy, but I started to struggle a bit on Fridays and the work to do on the bike was quite huge sometimes. And more in the second part of the season I was struggling a bit to be aggressive and explosive’.
Regarding this year’s bike, Bagnaia mentioned that the feeling improved since early on: ‘As soon as I started with the new bike, maybe apart from the first half day in Sepang, I started to feel better and I started to work with the bike to improve the feeling. But I think I can be very happy with the new bike’.
