Gresini Racing had a strong start to the MotoGP season. In the Qatar Grand Prix, Marc Márquez finished fourth, very close to the podium, and his brother Álex finished sixth.
Team owner Nadia Padovani was naturally pleased with the performances, as she made clear in comments quoted by the newspaper AS: ‘The weekend went very well for us, and I am very happy with the performances of Marc and Álex, but also with those in Moto2 because [Manuel] González and [Albert] Arenas did very well. We will need to improve, of course, but step by step. I see that Marc is very happy, he is enjoying himself. And I am also very happy. I believe the best is yet to come. There are many races ahead, and I think we will have a really good year’.
The widow of the late Fausto Gresini revealed that her husband would be happy with Marc Márquez joining the team and with the direction of the team: ‘He would be super happy and pleased with how we are moving the team forward and the things we are doing. Well, certainly yes’.
