Pedro Acosta’s debut in MotoGP was convincing, finishing in ninth place at the Qatar GP – after having fought for a top-four position for much of the race, with the podium not too far away.
In a press conference aired on Nico Abad’s YouTube channel, the young Spanish rider from Red Bull GasGas Tech3 acknowledged that there are aspects to improve after the Losail round:
– In the end, we have to be happy. The truth is that we missed out on some things, given all the new stuff. I think no one expected us to be at this level. But, well, we missed a bit at the end, so we have to refine the details.
Acosta reiterated that he doesn’t have specific goals for 2024: ‘I believe we don’t have a set objective. It’s a year of learning […], I think whatever comes will be good. Ultimately, I believe it’s better to have surprises than disappointments’.
