Linked to Gresini only until the end of 2024, Marc Márquez has his future in MotoGP open. Davide Tardozzi, team manager of Ducati, doesn’t exclude the Spanish rider from the list of options for the manufacturer’s official team next year.
When asked in a press conference about this possibility, the six-time world champion of the premier class didn’t give a direct response, emphasizing only that he’s focused on his work and is in no rush to decide the future:
– Of course my situation is completely different than in the past. In the past, on December I signed already the contract for next year. Right now I have no rush; I just want to focus on myself, I just try to do my best on track, and I know that if I enjoy and I’m fast I have more possibilities to chose a seat. But for now I don’t want to speak; I just want to focus on myself, what I did in Qatar, what I’ll do here. Some races will be better, some races worst, but I’ll just try to do my 100% because I know that in sport it’s the present that counts, not the past. The present is like this and I need to work because there are two, three, four riders faster than me.
