It’s no secret that Toprak Razgatlioglu is one of the great phenomena of current motorcycle racing. The rider competes in the World Superbike Championship, but is considered one of the most talented out there, and despite never making the move, he has even been considered as a possibility in MotoGP.
Currently, the Turkish rider competes for ROKiT BMW, whose director Shaun Muir is impressed with his quality. Quoted by Motorsport.com, the British director includes Razgatlioglu in the top five best riders in the world across all championships:
– I think Toprak is one of the five best riders if you put all the paddocks together. In my opinion, he has great talent. He combines everything to maximize the strengths of the bike and work around the weaknesses. That’s the difference. He can do certain things on the bike that others can’t.
Making such comparisons accurately is difficult since Razgatlioglu has never gone head-to-head with the top MotoGP riders. However, it’s certain that in WSBK he is showing that he can also fight for the title with BMW, and in March he returned the manufacturer to victory after several years.
