The 45th Bangkok Motor Show put cars in the spotlight, but among the four-wheeled vehicles, this “motorboat” called Felo Tooz managed to stand out. It’s an all-electric motorcycle with the longest range ever claimed: an impressive 720 km on a single charge.
It’s a motorcycle produced by Thai giant Smartech, which also has the Thai government on its side, which is backing the project. Present in the electric mobility sector for years with motorcycles, scooters and bicycles, Smatech is now trying its hand at the “big time” with this super tourer with a clear kilometer-eating attitude. The dimensions are absolutely significant and its appearance is reminiscent of motorcycles intended for long journeys, not least because the advertised performance is truly unique for an all-electric bike.
According to the manufacturer, the Felo Tooz allows long journeys without worrying about range, even covering more than 700 kilometers on a single charge. In terms of charging speed, the battery can go from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes with Type 2 charging. In terms of performance, the Felo Tooz can reach a top speed of 200 km/h. There is also a V2L (Vehicle to Load) function that allows the bike’s battery to be used to power other devices. Nothing is said about the weight, but you can imagine that it’s quite heavy…
The new electric tourer’s equipment includes a huge 12-inch TFT screen with integrated navigation system and 360° camera system, there’s no shortage of ABS and traction control and, just imagine, the possibility of using one of the side cases as an eight-liter cooler. In short… a motorcycle that is, in many ways, truly unique. For now, it’s just a prototype, but it looks like Smartech from Thailand is really going to go for it.
