Fabio Di Giannantonio set the fastest time of the MotoGP testing day in Jerez, held this Monday. The rider took the lead relatively early and never relinquished it.
In the last hour and a half, no one managed to overtake Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46/Ducati), who set the fastest lap in 1m36.405s – slightly slower than his qualifying time from this past Saturday in Jerez.
Maverick Viñales (Aprilia) improved towards the end to secure second place, just 0.087s behind, while Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac/Ducati) took third ahead of Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati).
The top five was completed by Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati), trailing the leader by 0.232s. It was a closely contested testing day, with 17 riders separated by less than a second. Johann Zarco (LCR Honda) completed the most mileage, with 88 laps.
