About a week and a half ago, Francesco Bagnaia returned to victory at the MotoGP Spanish Grand Prix. Now, the French Grand Prix at Le Mans follows, where the 2022 and 2023 champion can attack the championship lead.
The Ducati Italian rider expressed he is highly confident for this fifth round of the year: ‘After the last race weekend at Jerez and the test, I arrive at Le Mans pretty confident. All the conditions are there for us to be fast right from the start’.
Bagnaia highlighted his usual competitiveness at Le Mans and guaranteed that he will strive to be prepared for any scenario:
– We have always been competitive in France, and even last year in the race, we had a good pace and were fighting for the win. Unfortunately, I was unlucky and had to retire due to a crash after being hit by another rider. The only big unknown, as always, will be the weather, but, in any case, we will work to be ready to face any conditions.
Currently with 75 points, the Ducati rider is in second place in the championship, 17 points behind the leader, Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati).
