Who will be Francesco Bagnaia’s teammate at Ducati in MotoGP in 2025? This is the burning question in the rider market, with several possible candidates.
One of them is Marc Márquez, currently with Gresini. However, he would pose a strong threat to Francesco Bagnaia, who clinched the championship in 2022 and 2023 and seems to be the lead rider for Ducati on the track.
Speculation arose that the Italian might block Márquez’s entry. However, on Thursday, Bagnaia assured that this is not the case and he is indifferent to who his teammate will be:
– In these days I saw a video on Twitter [X] of a Spanish journalist saying that he heard that I don’t want Marc in the factory team. But it’s bullshit, I don’t care. I just want to beat them all, try to be always the best and keep going like this. I don’t have a preference.
Nevertheless, the two-time MotoGP world champion recalled that if Enea Bastianini ceases to be his teammate, it will be a new beginning: ‘Honestly I’m working well with Enea, I know perfectly the type of working we are approaching. If the team changes the teammate we have to restart again, but in any case my ambition is always to be stronger than them’.
