It was on July 26, 2009 that Max Biaggi, at the Brno circuit, achieved the first and unforgettable victory of the Aprilia RSV4 in the World Superbike Championship. No one could know at the time, but that was the first episode of a story that became legendary. It was the beginning of one of the most victorious stories ever of a single model in the world’s most important factory derivative championship, with an extraordinary collection of seven world titles (3 for the Rider and 4 for the Manufacturer), 44 victories, and 102 podiums.
Today, Aprilia celebrates this historic day for the brand, bringing back the iconic paint that symbolizes the spectacular sporting debut of the V4 range RSV4: the superbike RSV4 Factory and the hypernaked Tuono V4 Factory. In this special version, the RSV4 Factory and the Tuono V4 Factory also come standard equipped with carbon front brake air intakes and a carbon front fender. The model’s progressive numbering appears on the fuel tank.
This is how the numbered special edition SE-09 SBK is born, revealed for the first time in public during the MotoGP Grand Prix of the Americas weekend in Austin, Texas. It was the Aprilia Racing factory riders, Aleix Espargaró and Maverick Viñales, current protagonists of the main motorcycle world championship driving the RS-GP prototypes from Noale, who baptized the RSV4 Factory and the Tuono V4 Factory in this new, exciting and evocative version.
The Aprilia V4 Factory SE-09 SBK stand out for the paint dominated by black, with the characteristic details in red and white on the upper fairing, grips, fuel tank, and rear fairing, just like the RSV4 that surprised the world at its debut in WSBK. An unmistakable blend in its linear simplicity, which brings the mark of Noale and its legendary sporting history to the mind of any motorcycling enthusiast.
