New version of the Suzuki V-Strom 800 – high comfort and performance for road use.

After the launch of the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE at the 2022 EICMA edition and subsequent presentation to the National press in May 2023, it is now time to announce the launch of the base version of the model, the V-Strom 800. While the V-Strom 800DE was developed as a true Dual Explorer, with outstanding performance both on and off-road, already recognized for its excellence in both situations, this version essentially prioritizes high comfort and performance for road use, over long distances and at lively paces, without losing all of its versatility and suitability for other types of surfaces. The new V-Strom 800 delivers good performance on any road, giving the rider a strong sense of freedom and the confidence needed to face them. Sharing several features with the V-Strom 800DE, such as its engine, SDMS, STCS, and bi-directional Quick Shift; the new version comes with aluminum wheels with 19” and 17” rims respectively on the front and rear, fitted with Dunlop D614 tubeless tires.In the front, the team still has Hitachi Astemo (SHOWA) SFF-BP inverted suspensions (Separate Function Fork – Big Piston), adjustable in spring preload and optimized for long rides on the road, providing high confidence in curves and ensuring the necessary stability on straight roads.

On the electronic level, the specific off-road settings are no longer present, maintaining the 3-level Traction Control with the possibility to turn off (STCS), the two-level ABS, and the 3 driving modes (SDMS), accompanied by the aforementioned exemplary bi-directional quick Shift. The well-known parallel twin-cylinder engine with 776cc is specially prepared for the challenges of long road trips, with unique performance from low rotations and always available. The main characteristics are as follows: – Parallel twin-cylinder engine with 776cc, with a 270º crankshaft offset – Delivers power and torque from low rotation; – Operating sound similar to a V engine; – New and innovative counterbalance system for smoother operation; – Ride-by-wire throttle

– S.I.R.S (Suzuki Intelligent Ride System), composed of:

– SDMS with 3 driving modes;

– Traction control system;

– ABS mode selection system with 2 levels;

– Bi-directional Quick Shift;

– Suzuki Easy Start System for easy engine start;

– Low rpm assist start system;

– 20-liter fuel tank

– 5” color TFT instrument panel

– LED lighting

– USB outlet next to the instrument panel

The model will be available in 3 colors by the end of this year, including in the A2 version, with power limited to 35 kW. Price to be announced soon.
