The KTM 790 Duke was the first Austrian Duke to feature the LC8c twin-cylinder engine, and at the time of its market launch, it surprised with its dynamic qualities, which fully justified the name “The Scalpel” for the precision with which it tackled curves and the pleasure of driving. In 2021, it was replaced in the range by its evolution, the 890 Duke, and reappeared in 2023 due to its reintroduction in KTM’s lineup as a more aggressive naked bike (the price significantly decreased compared to the previous version) and with reduced power to comply with A2 licenses.
This is also due to KTM’s industrial partnership with CFMOTO, which is now responsible for producing the 790 Duke in China.
Therefore, equipped with the 799 cc LC8c engine, 95 hp, and 87 Nm of maximum torque, as well as ride-by-wire, four engine maps (RAIN, STREET, SPORT, and the optional TRACK), lean angle-sensitive traction control, and ABS, the 790 Duke reaches 2024 – the year that marks the 30th anniversary of the Duke family – essentially unchanged and with the same uncompromising driving philosophy that led KTM to designate its 30th anniversary Duke family communication campaign as “No Bullshit”.
More than 30,000 units sold since 2017 and an unmistakable look: for 2024, however, the price has not yet been announced, which we do not expect to be much different from the current one.
