Pedro Acosta had a solid rookie season in MotoGP, finishing sixth overall and securing multiple podiums. More importantly, he gained valuable lessons about the premier class.
The Red Bull KTM rider stated: ‘In 2024 I learned that sometimes maybe it’s better to be a bit calmer, and try to use the head in some moments – because it’s true that we lost a lot of good opportunities throughout the year because perhaps we wanted too much. So, maybe this year we’ll use the head more’.
This year, Acosta is a factory rider for the first time in MotoGP. Now that he understands the premier class, he wants to achieve the goals he has lined up:
– For sure, in 2024 I had many good moments, but I also have targets in the pocket that I want to make happen. It’s true that I learned a lot how to manage a race, how the MotoGP class is – because it’s so different compared to the smaller classes. For this, I think there are still many goals to make happen this season.
