Carlo Pernat is stepping down as Enea Bastianini’s manager after many years of collaboration, with health issues prompting the separation ahead of the 2025 season.
During his time managing «Bestia», the well-known manager helped Bastianini achieve several milestones, such as the Moto2 title in 2020 and podium finishes in various championships – including third place in MotoGP in 2022.
However, one major goal was left unfulfilled. Pernat admitted to GPOne.com that he regrets not being able to guide Bastianini to a MotoGP championship, citing the severe injury in 2023 as a potential setback:
– The goal was to win another World Championship with Enea. If the injury hadn’t happened, we would have had a chance. Now, it’s harder. I regret not winning a MotoGP title with Bastianini because he had every chance.
