Matteo Flamigni has experienced much of the evolution of MotoGP and is deeply familiar with many of the changes in the category. The member of the VR46 Racing Team, who in 2024 worked with Marco Bezzecchi on Valentino Rossi’s team, recalled a change that he considered ‘revolutionary’.
The person in charge was present at the Mig Babol podcast and rightly recalled a huge change in the class regulations, namely the change from the use of two-stroke to four-stroke engines, in addition to the arrival of maps and platforms that could measure, for example, the degree of motorcycle inclination:
– The rider could open the throttle to the max at full lean, and the bike responded precisely. It was a revolutionary change.
Flamigni had a great influence on Rossi, who, as he had said previously, «helped» him become a ‘motorcycle maniac’.
