The sixth stage of this year’s Dakar Rally is finally complete and with final times, and with Ricky Brabec confirming the victory that was already expected.
Provisionally leading at kilometer 577 and then at the end of the stage, Brabec (Honda) ends the day as the best rider of the day by finishing stage 6 in 5h00m51s, a difference of 23s to his teammate Adrien Van Beveren, while Nacho Cornejo (Hero) closes the podium.
Tosha Schareina (Honda) was fourth, 2m27s behind his teammate, while Luciano Benavides was the best KTM rider in fifth, 3m36s behind the winner.
Also in the top ten are Lorenzo Santolino (Sherco), Mason Klein (Kove), Dakar leader Daniel Sanders (KTM) and Pablo Quintanilla (KTM).
Overall Sanders remains the leader but has lost time to his competition, led by Schareina who is now 11m46s behind.
