Honda continues to expand its influential scooter range with the launch of the NS150GX, a model that joins the PCX family and promises to captivate the Chinese market. This new scooter, unveiled in January by Sundiro Honda in Shanghai, features a design that mixes elements from other popular models such as the PCX160 and ADV160, creating an identity all of its own.
The NS150GX stands out for its robust look, with twin headlights and a front mask that brings a sporty touch. The wide side fairings give it an SUV look, while the lighting system and chassis details are reminiscent of the ADV160. This model isn’t just about looks; it comes equipped with state-of-the-art technology, such as a keyless start system, USB charging ports, TFT LCD dashboard and tire pressure monitoring.
Under the hood, the NS150GX doesn’t disappoint. It uses the 156cc “esp+” engine, the same one that powers the PCX160 and ADV160 models, offering 15.8 hp of power. This engine is known for its efficiency and smooth performance, making the NS150GX a solid choice for those looking for reliability and power in a compact package.

The NS150GX comes as a fusion between the urban comfort of the PCX and the off-road capability of the ADV. While the PCX is designed for a smoother ride in cities, the ADV comes with robust tires and reinforced suspension for more demanding terrain. The NS150GX is positioned in the middle ground, offering a comfortable ride with a touch of adventure.
Currently, the NS150GX is only available in China, but Sundiro Honda has plans to expand to other Asian markets such as the Philippines and Indonesia. With the increasing popularity of SUVs in the automotive sector, it’s possible that this model will find its way to Japan and other global markets. It will be interesting to follow the impact of this new addition to the PCX family.
