There’s a lot of talk about who is the best rider of all time, and although he doesn’t even have the most world titles, Marc Márquez seems to be the best ever, at least for Chicho Lorenzo. Even so, the rider is also remembered by someone who hasn’t always been the most respectful, Jorge Lorenzo’s father.
Chicho had previously spoken to Nico Abad about his desire not to see Márquez ‘playing dirty’, pointing out that there are limits, but he made a point of mentioning the #93 as the best, and with some distance: ‘I have to recognize him, for me he’s the best in history with a difference, and it’s because of his character, his ambition, his will, his intelligence’.
Even so, Márquez doesn’t meet with total consensus, in the sense that there are other aspects not linked to his value as a rider but to his character which, with their influence on the track, leave Chicho Lorenzo with a bitter taste in his mouth for the future Ducati Lenovo Team rider:
– But for me there’s only one thing I don’t like about Márquez: sometimes he’s been disrespectful to his rivals and done things that aren’t sporting.
