The year 2025 appears to be a year of changes for many riders but especially for Jorge Martín, 2024 MotoGP world champion who is preparing to embark on a new adventure with a bike that has had its ups and downs, which is why the rider admits that ‘it makes no sense’ to think about a new title.
Martín explained to the championship’s official website that he is only focused on becoming better, rather than thinking about defending the title which is, in his view, ‘nonsense’ to look at as a possible reality:
– I think it’s nonsense and it makes no sense to think that I will win the championship, and even this year I wasn’t thinking about winning, just thinking about being better every day, and the goal is the same.
The objectives are well defined, he clarified: ‘When we start we don’t know what position we will finish in, and we have to be better every day and if being better every day means winning the title, I will accept it, but if it means being fifth in the championship I will also accept it’.
