Despite the ongoing financial crisis within KTM AG, preparations for the upcoming MotoGP season are pressing ahead, including private testing this month.
According to GPOne.com, Dani Pedrosa and Pol Espargaró will test the KTM RC16 in Jerez from December 11 to 13. This effort continues the development of the bike, contrary to recent rumors suggesting a freeze on progress for the coming months.
The competition division remains separate from KTM AG and its financially troubled subsidiaries, meaning it has not been significantly affected – at least for now.
In 2024, four RC16 bikes will compete: two for the factory team and two for the Tech3 satellite team. Official pre-season tests are scheduled for February 5-7 in Sepang.
