Miguel Oliveira’s chapter with Aprilia in MotoGP came to an end this season. Over two years marked by numerous difficulties and obstacles, the desired results were not achieved.
In an interview with Estrella Galicia 0,0, the Portuguese rider reflected on the challenges he faced during his time with Trackhouse Racing and previously with RNF, but also highlighted the positives:
– These were two difficult years, that’s the truth – both technically and physically. I had several injuries, missed races due to collisions with other riders. It was a complicated season, but I believe these last two years brought me something positive. I managed to adapt to a bike that was completely different from what I was used to; I managed to be competitive on it. And I also believe that this will help me in the future. So, I want to take these two years as a learning experience.
Although disappointed at not achieving his goals, Oliveira is fully focused on the next challenge: ‘I’m sad about not accomplishing what I believe I could have with Aprilia, but the truth is, it’s time to look to the future and embark on a very, very ambitious project’.
