The development of the KTM 950 Adventure began in the late 1990s, at a time when KTM dominated the Dakar with their rally bikes. Inspired by the Dakar-winning KTM 950 Rally, the Adventure was designed to face any challenge, whether on asphalt or inhospitable terrain.
Performance for Any Terrain
The heart of the 950 Adventure was its V-twin engine, with 942 cc and 98 hp, capable of delivering smooth and reliable power. With a robust torque of 95 Nm, the bike demonstrated strength even at low revs, essential for rough terrain. This performance was complemented by a 6-speed manual transmission, ensuring flexibility in all situations.
The steel trellis frame, combined with high-performance WP suspensions with 230 mm of travel, offered stable and comfortable riding on both difficult trails and winding roads. The lightweight design and Brembo brakes ensured confidence and control, while the 22-liter tank provided ideal range for long trips.
