Francesco Bagnaia couldn’t secure the MotoGP title this year, finishing behind Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati), despite achieving 11 victories in 20 main races.
Despite the outcome, the Ducati rider sees reasons to be proud, as he stated in a press conference: ‘I’m proud of the season, I’m proud of my team, because they did an amazing job all the season. Every time I was in trouble, they helped me a lot to improve’.
Then, Bagnaia also commented on the mental demands of MotoGP since the introduction of Sprint races: ‘We have to say that in the last two seasons, the amount of things to do in a race weekend has increased a lot, and on the mental side is challening you more. The races become much easier at the moment’.
The 2022 and 2023 champion added: ‘I’m proud of what we achieved this season. Finishing second is not winning, but it’s still a good result, and we know why we finished second. So, we just have to improve’.
